Cuba, Worldview Explorations™
The People, Art & Music with the Institute of Noetic Sciences
May 14-21, 2014
8 days, 7 nights $TBD
Join Cross Cultural Journeys Foundation and the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) on an amazing legal people to people journey to Cuba using the ideas and approaches of the IONS Worldview Explorations™ program to frame travelers’ encounters with the Cuban people and culture. This trip is modeled after a very successful IONS trip to Cuba in January 2012 using the same approach. Throughout the journey we will explore our own worldviews and that of the people of Cuba from multiple perspectives and expand our understanding of what separates, or unites us.
On this people to people journey, IONS travelers will meet with individuals and groups while we also explore the colorful, vibrant, culture of Cuba… its beautiful architecture, music, and colorful outdoor markets. It will surprise and entice you, and take you back decades with its richness and depth of culture. Travel to the colonial towns of Santa Clara and Remedios. Enjoy music everywhere; music is in the soul of the Cuban people. Visit artists in their studios and discuss their art. Learn about the grass roots sustainability movement and meet with innovative professionals both in Havana and the countryside who are developing sustainable practices to counteract the scarcity of resources in Cuba.
The group will gather the first night at a hotel near the airport in Miami for a dinner, orientation and dialogue to prepare for the discussions we will have with people in Cuba. Experience this “off limits” island during a unique period before it is overrun with excessive tourism. Travel legally to be with the people of Cuba under a people to people educational license issued to the Cross Cultural Journeys Foundation.
